Professor Rob Faesen

Rob Faesen is professor of Medieval Dutch Mystical Litterature at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and member of the Ruusbroec Society (University of Antwerp, Belgium). In Leuven, he holds the Jesuitica and Ignatiana Chair. In 2004 he held the MacLean Chair in the College of Arts and Sciences of Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia (USA). His publications include the critical edition of Jan van Ruusbroec, Van Seven Trappen [= Seven Rungs], Corpus Christianorum Continuatio Mediaevalis 109 (Turnhout: Brepols, 2003). He is also editor of Albert Deblaere (1916-1994), Essays on Mystical Litterature, Bibliotheca Ephemeridum Theologicarum Lovaniensium 177 (Louvain: University Press, 2004).
